The sixth week of the webskills course
is coming to an end. Actually, I have mostly spent this week thinking of my
final project plan and trying to make it take shape. There have been so many
useful resources and ideas from the class since the course started. For me, it
takes time to arrange and organize them. Here is what I have put my ideas in
order for now.
Many changes are taking place in the classroom in an increasingly fast pace. Teachers have to deal with students who are immersed and proficient in smart media the classroom, which means that to improve our classrooms up to their experiences with technology requires that the classroom has to be smarter than the traditional classrooms.

I believe that successful foreign
language learning in smart era starts from students in their self-directedness.
When students choose what they want to learn, the ownership of learning and
self-directedness will grow and they’ll become more responsible learners. Plus,
this will be able to lead students with lower levels of English to higher levels
of English, narrowing the widening educational gap between the students.
In the meantime, are teachers adequately
prepared for this new teaching and classroom environment? What additional
skills do teachers need?
This is what I have been thinking so
far. I am going to spend the next week to answer my questions and make them
organized. I am looking forward to further development in my final project
plan.
Hi, Hannah! I've also been doing a lot of thinking lately! This project has made me stop to think a lot of my teaching practice. I agree with you that the smart era can help students become more responsible for their own learning. All these tools we have been exposed to will help us have ideas of how we can put this into practice. My problem right now is just having just too many ideas in mind! I've been trying different things in my class to see how things work out. I am also looking forward to further develop in my project! =)
