Hannah's Third Week of the Webskills Course

It’s been three weeks since I started this webskills course. How time flies! What makes me keep on thinking this week was the final project. I have examined some of the projects from previous terms and found out that they seem very experimental and gradual in line with the progress with this course. How fun it is going to be to learn something new and instantly apply it to the class and see how it works for my students. With each week of this course passing by, I will be more engaged in the final project and making progress with it, which is definitely going to be challenging but worth trying. Therefore, I am very excited to learn new things every week including aural/oral skill building and making my own Delicious this week. I can’t wait to see how my final project is going to be and what I will be able to learn throughout this course.

My reflection on the second week of the webskills course

Taking the webskills course has been giving me an opportunity to take a big step forward in the field of online education. It’s really fun to share new idea, information and their own experiences.  In terms of sharing search engines the class has been using, I was able to get to know brilliant educational websites including Merriam-webster dictionary for kids and Longman Dictionary. Plus, it was very interesting for me to find out the differences between YouTube for Schools and TeacherTube. I have always been curious about how teachers apply technologies to their classes. By looking at the posts by the classmates describing their classes, I was able to know how they manage and plan their class using technologies. These kinds of sharing and exchanging ideas will surely act as a stimulus to teaching and learning English online for our classroom. I am expecting to learn more about new things next week.

The first week of the course has been almost finished. I feel this is a great opportunity to study online and meet the people from countries all over the world. I am very excited to start my first week of the class. Since it is my first time taking classes online, everything seems new to me including getting emails from the two teachers almost every day or interacting with the classmates whom I really don’t know. However, I firmly believe this course is going to be very fun and worth challenging. I hope I will be doing my utmost throughout this course even if I am overwhelmed by all the tasks or requirements. Let’s just take a giant step forward!=)
